INFORMATION ABOUT THE SEMESTER CLOSURE

The submission deadline of the semester closing documents is usually at the end of the semester exam period. The deadline for the submission of reqests for accreditation of new optional courses may differ from the deadline of the other documents. Forms samples for the documents to be submitted can be found in the website of the Doctoral School (see Downloads).

PhD students are informed about the exact submission deadlines in each semester by email.

RECORD OF THE COURSE RESULTS

- Comprehensive course (’Átfogó előadás’): the result will be recorded in the electronic system by the administration of the Doctoral School, no further action required.

- Optional courses: the result will be recorded in the electronic system by the respecting lecturer/Department. We kindly ask every student to monitor the process and to notify us in case of any problem or delay. If the Neptun system is not available for the given course (for example in case of courses in external institutions), we accept a signed and sealed completion certificate.

- Research project (’Tudományos kutatómunka’): it is certified by the fulfilment of the attached certification paper and the signature of the supervisor. The result will be recorded in the electronic system by the administration of the Doctoral School.

- Publication (’Publikáció’): it is certified by the fulfilment of the attached publication list. The copy of all respecting publications is also needed. (text of article as well as the table of contents of the journal, slideshow and official program of conference lecture) The result will be recorded in the electronic system by the administration of the Doctoral School. The achieved score will be verified during the administration. The Doctoral School – in order to prevent duplications – is only evaluating the publications released during the respecting semester. Publications under review only can be accepted at the end of the 4th and 8th semester.

- Education under guidance (’Irányított oktatás’): in case the student took part in teaching at the Department, it is certified by the fulfilment of the attached certification paper and the signature of the head of the department. The result will be recorded in the electronic system by the administration of the Doctoral School.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER

- Enrollment sheet (in case of passiv semester, request as wll) for the following semester (Enrollment sheets of semester registration have to be filled and submitted also in case of passive status!)

- Accreditation request for optional courses for the following semester

- Research report (signed by the supervisor)

- List of publications (signed by the student) and copy of publications

- Certification of the Research Project (signed by the supervisor)

- Certification of Education under guidance (signed by the head of the Department) – optional

- Completion certificate of optional courses (signed and sealed by the respecting lecturer/Department) Only if the result cannot be registered in the Neptun system.

FOR FIRST GRADE STUDENTS AFTER THEIR FIRST SEMESTER

First grade students additionally have to submit after their first semester:

- Work plan signed by the student and the supervisor (1-2 pages, containing the major sections and expected results of the planned research activity, assigned to each semester of the PhD study)

- Research outline signed by the student and the supervisor (1-2 pages, describing the main fields and objectives of the research, a brief description of the subject and a preposition for the topics of the planned dissertation, main sources and research methods, professional literature, etc.)
