According to the Code of Studies of BME (BME TVSZ) PhD Students must fulfil min. 120 EPPH in the Educational and Research Stage, and min. 120 EPPH in the Research and Dissertation Stage: altogether min. 240 EPPH at the end of their 8th semester.

In the Educational and Research Stage, in the first four semesters, PhD students must complete min. 16 credits from optional courses to be qualified for the comprehensive exam. The optimal course must be accredited by the Council of the Doctoral School (DIT) in advance. The accredited courses will be considered with 1 or 2 credits (independently from their original credit number).
